About My drip painting
Today I went on my youtube channel and read the comments on my video named no- touch painting. It has 30,000 downloads and around 11,500 viewings. There were many critical comments and questions on the video So I am writing this blog to clarify few things about my drip paintings or sometimes I call this technique "NO-Touch" painting. Well, here are my answers:
Jackson Pollacks paintings are abstract. I am claiming that I developed this technique to another level where you can actually paint a picture or a portrait (see my first portrait of "Gandhi "that I made many years ago using this approach and compare with Pollacks abstract drip painting, this will give you an idea what i am really talking about)
2. Many people said that your work was of Pollock's origins and therefore was a used method of painting. what do you have to say?
3. what is Art to you ?
- What about regarding the "originality" of your work?
This does not offend me as I believe everyone is entitled to there own opinion. I am credited with notion that I copy Pollack. However, to be fair, I never claimed to be original, I said and meant that it was a new approach. Now you be the judge below are the pictures--of my work and the work of the famous Pollack.
Pollock's work.

Yes I admit , I was inspired by Pollock to create drip painting, but there is a huge difference between how I paint a picture and how Pollock paints a picture. In the end, best way for me to describe this is by saying that it would wrong to say that impressionists copied realists. This is one of my early works, portrait of "Gandhi" painted in 2000. It took me good 12 year of practice and hard work to be able to paint like this, simply by throwing paint.
3. what is Art to you ?
Art means everything to me. I see art everywhere and in all circumtances I find myself in. I am not only into drip painting, I do all kinds of art. Specially the one that is challenging . I really like the revolutionary ideas. I will go a head and try it even if it did not make good art (for some). Art has provided me with means for the spirit of freedom. And this freedom helps me find my identity as a person. I want to put enough effort into the projects I do to increase my own potential as an artist. I have put many hours simply challenging myself. It symbolizes the struggle that needs to exist for Art to progress at higher levels.

Jackson pollock is only one I know who did abstract painting in drip. I wanted to take drip painting to another level where I could make images by simply driping paint on the canvas. One of my most selling techniques of painting. I think this is because there is no one else out there who could make images using drip. if you know any please share it with me. I have been dripping from last 15 years.

Blue seeks peace and tranquility above everything else, promoting both physical and mental relaxation. The color blue reduces stress, creating a sense of calmness, relaxation and order - we certainly feel a sense of calm if we lie on our backs and look into a bright blue cloudless sky. It slows the metabolism. The paler the blue the more freedom we feel.
Lovers of blue have a deep need to find inner peace and truth, to live their life according to their ideals and beliefs without having to change their inflexible viewpoint of life to satisfy others.

From a color psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible. This color exhibits an inner security and confidence. You can rely on it to take control and do the right thing in difficult times. Blue has a need for order and direction in its life, including its living and work spaces.
Pale Blue: Pale blue inspires creativity and the freedom to break free.
Sky Blue: One of the calmest colors, sky blue inspires selfless love and fidelity. It is non-threatening and promotes a helpful nature that can overcome all obstacles. It is the universal healer.
Azure Blue:A color of true contentment, azure inspires determination and ambition to achieve great things, a sense of purpose in striving for goals.
Dark Blue: Dark blue is the color of conservatism and responsibility. Although it appears to be cool, calm and collected, it is the color of the non-emotional worrier with repressed feelings, the pessimist and the hypocrite. Dark blue can be compassionate but has trouble showing it as its emotions run deep. Dark blue is a serious masculine color representing knowledge, power, and integrity, and is used quite often in the corporate world.

Mother and Daughter in magenta

I made this surly for the color magenta. Its a palette knife painting. A combination of red and violet, magenta contains the passion, power and energy of red, restrained by the introspection and quiet energy of violet. Magenta influences our whole personal and spiritual development. It strengthens our intuition and psychic ability while assisting us to rise above the everyday dramas of our daily life to experience a greater level of awareness and knowledge.
This color is an instrument of change and transformation; it helps to release old emotional patterns that prevent personal and spiritual development and aids us in moving forward.
I would love to know what YOU think about it?

Mother and Daughter in Magenta by Artist Singh
This beautiful work is a commission painting for a collector and a friend. He wanted to me to express the beauty in Magenta. This is what I have come up with. I hope he likes it!
Magenta is a color of universal harmony and emotional balance. It is spiritual yet practical, encouraging common sense and a balanced outlook on life. The color magenta helps to create harmony and balance in every aspect of life; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
A combination of red and violet, magenta contains the passion, power and energy of red, restrained by the introspection and quiet energy of violet.

This color is an instrument of change and transformation; it helps to release old emotional patterns that prevent personal and spiritual development and aids us in moving forward.
Magenta is uplifting to our spirits during times of unhappiness, anger or frustration.
In the meaning of colors, magenta represents universal love at its highest level. It promotes compassion, kindness and cooperation and encourages a sense of self respect and contentment in those who use it. Gentle and caring in its approach, it generates acceptance, tolerance, support and patience.
The color magenta is a color of cheerfulness, happiness, contentment and appreciation for what you have acquired and achieved. Most people feel more optimistic when in the company of magenta.
Magenta is the color of the non-conformist, the free spirit. It pushes you to take responsibility for creating your own path in life and increases dream activity while assisting you in turning your ambitions and desires into reality.
A strong and inspiring color, magenta can appear outrageous and shocking on one hand or innovative and imaginative on the other. It is creativity inspired by beauty.
Magenta is spontaneous and impulsive, yet resourceful and organized. It is invaluable in negotiating peace and calm in those who are at odds with one another.
From a negative perspective, magenta can promote depression and despair in some, and prevent others from dealing with challenges - it may be just too relaxing for introverts and the chronically depressed. Being surrounded by too much magenta energy can generate arrogance and bossiness making us feel overwhelmed, irritated, anxious and intolerant.
An excess of magenta energy can be balanced by introducing green into your surroundings..... learn more about colors from Judy at: http://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/index.html
